Evaluations

To create personalised and supportive speech therapy, we begin our services with an evaluation. This will include gathering information about;

  • Insights and observations as a parent/caregiver

  • Identifying your child’s strengths and challenges

  • Assessing your child’s current communication skills

Therapy

Our personalised and neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy takes place where your child is most comfortable, through both mobile and telehealth services.

We support a range of areas including speech, language, literacy, AAC and social communication.

This is done by setting meaningful goals through a connection and regulation approach that is play-based, child-led and strengths-focused.

Caregiver Coaching

Caregiver coaching supports parents, carers, family, teachers and other important people involved in the child's life.

We help caregivers with approaches and strategies for continual language and communication development in their child’s everyday life.

Coaching can happen over the phone, via telehealth or in person.

Our Specialties

Echolalia/Gestalt Language Processing

We specialise in supporting Gestalt Language Processors (children who use echolalia and scripting to communicate). We help your child to be able to express themselves by supporting them through the stages of Natural Language Acquisition. We are trained in NLA through the Meaningful Speech Course.

AAC/Augmentative and Alternative Communication

AAC is used by people who have trouble using speech some or all of the time. We honor all forms of communication. Children may experience frustration and barriers when they are unable to communicate their wants, needs, thoughts and ideas. We help by implementing and supporting robust AAC that allows a reliable communication system. This can be through gesture, sign or through a communication device.

Social Communication

We help your child foster a positive sense of self by using a neurodiversity affirming approach. This can help support skills such as self advocacy, problem solving, perspective taking and understanding of their unique communication style, sensory preferences and preferred interests and play.

Speech

We help support children with speech sound delays and disorders who have trouble with certain sounds or speaking clearly.

Language

We help children with language delays, who may have trouble with using first words, using a range of words, putting words into phrases and sentences and/or retelling events from their day, we support building all aspects of language acquisition.

Literacy

We help support children who may be struggling with reading, spelling and writing. We work on all areas from learning letters and sounds to extended written text. We tailor our approach to your child's needs. We are further trained in Sounds Write.
